About Us
The New Jersey Water Resources Research Institute (NJWRRI) is a federally-funded program of research, training, and information transfer concerning all aspects of fresh and estuarine water in the state.
Its mission is to:
- sponsor research on all aspects of water quality, water quantity, water use, and management of water resources
- train students at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels to become the next generation of water resource professionals in New Jersey
- facilitate the transfer of information from researchers to water resource managers and the public

The Fiscal Year 2026 104g General NOFO has been posted at https://grants.gov/search-results-detail/364012. PI’s must coordinate with their respective Institutes prior to submission to allow time for the Institute to meet the deadlines of this program announcement.
- Applications are due to NJWRRI by 5:00 pm October 28, 2026.
- Applications, including the full proposal, must be submitted to grants.gov by the State Water Resources Research Institute (i.e., NJWRRI) prior to the 5:00 PM Eastern Time, November 12, 2026 closing date.
