About Us
The New Jersey Water Resources Research Institute (NJWRRI) is a federally-funded program of research, training, and information transfer concerning all aspects of fresh and estuarine water in the state.
Its mission is to:
- sponsor research on all aspects of water quality, water quantity, water use, and management of water resources
- train students at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels to become the next generation of water resource professionals in New Jersey
- facilitate the transfer of information from researchers to water resource managers and the public

We are pleased to announce that the National Institutes of Water Resources (NIWR) is again sponsoring travel awards for students (undergraduate or graduate) to attend the joint Universities Council on Water Resources (UCOWR)/NIWR/AWRA conference from September 30-October 2, 2024 in St. Louis, Missouri. In order to qualify for the travel award, students must submit an abstract (either poster or presentation) for the conference. See conference website here: https://ucowr.org/conference/. Two awardees per NIWR region will be chosen at random, with awards ranging from $1,200 to $2,500.
