About Us
The New Jersey Water Resources Research Institute (NJWRRI) is a federally-funded program of research, training, and information transfer concerning all aspects of fresh and estuarine water in the state.
Its mission is to:
- sponsor research on all aspects of water quality, water quantity, water use, and management of water resources
- train students at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels to become the next generation of water resource professionals in New Jersey
- facilitate the transfer of information from researchers to water resource managers and the public

Students supported by NIWR centers and institutes are invited to submit an abstract for a poster presentation at the 2023 UCOWR/NIWR Water Resources Conference in Ft. Collins, CO June 13-15. Abstracts should be submitted by email to Karl Williard (williard@siu.edu) and should contain the following information: title, presenter, presenter affiliation and email, co-authors, NIWR center or institute supporting the work, and (250-word maximum) poster description. The submission deadline WAS April 11, 2023.
- NIWR-USGS National Competitive Grants Program 104(g) - Fiscal Year 2023 Call for Proposals is CLOSED!
The U.S. Geological Survey has published fiscal year 2023 requests for 104g applications for the Water Resources Research Act Program, including National Competitive Grants, Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Grants, and Per-and Polyflouroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Grants.
